Riding and shooting

September 2011 in southern Indiana.

I’ve enjoyed cycling as long as I can remember. That means a half-century or more. I’ve been interested in photography for nearly as long — maybe 40 or 45 years.
It’s been only in the past six or seven years though that I’ve combined those two interests.
When I ride in the Willmar area, it’s rare that I don’t have my digital point-and-shoot camera with me. On several occasions, I’ve found news or human-interest photos that end up in the Tribune.
But I’ve also taken my camera along on organized rides, whether those rides were in the Twin Cites and lasted a day or in Colorado and lasted a week.
The photos in today’s entry are from various rides I’ve ridden over the past five years.

June 2010 Colorado. Sometimes you have to admit the mountain's too high and steep.
